About Us
Mulch Makers began as a corporation in 2000 by Keith and Barb Luck. The business was created by Keith's desire to recycle the material coming in from Barberton Tree Service. Since its inception, Mulch Makers has grown to offer a variety of products to many local homeowners, garden centers and landscape companies! Our mission is to produce quality materials at wholesale prices, and to always provide excellent customer service.

We have 15-20 employees here at Mulch Makers throughout the season, many of whom have been affiliated with Mulch Makers or Barberton Tree Service for over 15 years. These employees are the heart of our business and have become what we lovingly refer to as our "mulch family".

When we relocated the business to our current location on Clark Mill Road, this gave us room to expand. We were able to grow our current offering, and offer several new products as well. We currently produce hardwood and bark mulches, colored mulches, premium topsoil, and compost.

We generally offer same day delivery to Barberton, Norton, Akron and the surrounding areas. Please call us if you have any questions about our products, or to schedule your delivery today!
Yard Waste
​Our customers are able to drop off any natural waste at our yard during normal business hours for a small fee based on the load size.

We are not able to accept anything that has been painted, treated or stained. This includes plywood, fences, decking material and landscape timbers. We also do not accept stumps with the root ball still in tact due to the possibility of rocks that could damage our grinder. We do accept stump grindings.
